hello myLot, I hope you are having a great day. it's windy and rainy but that's ok. As a child you hear many stories and fairytales, and they usually stay with you for life. Hearing them again can bring a feeling of nostalgia and a smile to your face. During Christmas I always love watching/reading The Nutcracker, it is my favorite fairytale. The magic, the action, the romance, it's lovely! There are people from all different cultures on myLot, and everyone has different experiences. Do you have a favorite fairytale or folklore story? Perhaps one you grew up with or one you like to tell your kids? *picture is from Pixabay

I think I've read Stone Soup...but I'm not 100% I had to look it up and it sounds familiar. Jack and the Beanstalk is a good one, too!

Oh yes, the Philippines is rich with mythology and folklore. In fact, news has it that, in the netflix Stranger Things, which I don't watch. the Philippine evil creatures are featured.

@isweartokira If you get to see a creature that separates from the waist and the top body flies to a prey, and the tongue elongates to take the fetus in a womb, that's Philippine.

oh, interesting. I watch Stranger Things, I didn't realize the creatures were based on a story from the Philippines. Thanks for the information!
