Ever Heard of Mark Slaughter / myLot

Was out at the local grocery store earlier and someone said, look over there, it is Mark Slaughter. I had no idea who the guy was. I searched for him when I got home and see that he was a metal artist in the 90s. Never heard of him. He fronted Xcursion before joining the Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Not my style of music, but everybody was running up for an autograph. You never know who you might see in this area. Slaughter actively participates in charity work with St. Jude's Children's Hospital. That was a pretty cool trivia fact I learned about him.

no ma'am, ne'er heard 'f this gentleman. i know such's to be 'xpected, folks floggin' fer autographs 'n selfies with celebs, but i wish they'd jest be respectful 'nstead. there's many a folk who're famous 'n do so much good. most do such'n private, which i 'dmire. st. jude's 'tis a great place to donate ones time 'n funds.

@CarolDM i met mr. charlie daniels'n his band'n a pizza hut years 'go. by oops, seems my friend'n i'd sat 't their booth. we said we'd move'n they said nope. they joined's 'nstead. no autographs nor pics, jest ate 'n visited. nice bunch 'f folks. yes ma'am, sure's. i still donate'n honor 'f my dad.

Most musicians get this kind of response. I didn't know him. St. Jude's is a wonderful place.

I think I've heard the name, but I've never been into metal (music wise). I wouldn't have known who they were talking about, either.

Other than what you are sharing with me here, I know nothing! We still see Marlo Thomas on occasion speaking at the hospital. See someone posted a link below! Good. Will check it out.

St Jude is a great charity! Not a huge autograph collector, i probably would have just continued shopping.

First I've heard of him ...... then again I rarely know the names of musicians anymore, I might not even know their bands names but sometimes I like the music.
