@tammys85 posted this, and I thought I'd give it a try: listing 10 things I counted as "accomplishments" through the 201X decade. For me, I know I could not have gotten through any of the challenges of the decade without the Lord--and I know He will help me through the challenges of the next one, too--so thanking the Lord for helping me get through/accomplishing each of these things. 1. Getting through a year of taking care of Mom when she was dying. Could not have done that without the Lord's strength. 2. Learning, though I do it my way, how to live on my own after 47 years. Here I am 49 and I haven't burned down the house or anything. 3. Learning to get around on my own. Mom drove us anywhere when we had to go places, and now that she's gone I've had to learn about Lyft and the bus routes. 4. Learning how better to deal with money. Now it's me paying all the bills and having to remember that I might not have enough money for this or that, and thank the Lord I'm learning that too--and I've never been without anything I need. 5. Learning not to be quite so hard on myself. Maybe I should be "more disciplined" about some things--but I'll learn that, too--I just don't want to be so hard on myself. 6. Taking on more responsibility. That kind of goes with a lot of things above, but it's something I'm learning. 7. Learning to cook for myself. I still have things like a bowl of cereal or a sandwich plenty of nights, but I cook simple stuff when I feel like it. 8. Learning to get rid of stuff I really don't need. I am still sentimental about some things, but I'm realizing that a lot of things really don't matter--and that is good because 2020 may see me living somewhere much smaller. 9. Getting more exercise. When I don't take the bus or a Lyft, I walk to places that I can. 10. Being just a little more outgoing. I'm still a loner/introvert, probably always will be, but I feel like I interact with others just a bit more.

I don't know if I can come up with 10, but like you, I know I could not have got through it all without the Lord. 1.I went through two major surgeries within 3 weeks 2.Had another surgery 5 years before that 3.Learned that I am too independent for my own good sometime and it's okay to ask others for help when I need it. 4.I learned that I can do more things than I think I can at times. 5. My oldest daughter and I had a healing in our relationship 6. So many things the Lord taught me, but I think the one that sticks with me is that I cannot do anything without His help and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and those are not in opposition I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can come up with right now

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you're doing well though, and I hope I'm right. Thanks for the shout out. I found the challenge through @skydream. :)

It's not the end of the decade yet. The accompanying illustration proves it. One to ten, not zero to nine.

Impressive list. I can always use more exercise.
