Three Days without an Answer at my Uncle's

Have been trying to call my uncle for three days with no answer. Finally called his caretaker. She said, oh I thought you knew.
He was admitted to a hospice facility for an evaluation on Sunday evening. Nobody cared to let me know. So upset. I call him every day and something goes wrong, nobody calls. Frustrated does not even begin to explain how I feel.
All I know is an incident occurred on Sunday evening. He was admitted to hospice. And now I am being told he cannot be left alone. His regular caretaker will work Monday - Friday. He will stay in the facility on weekends. He will be home Friday.
I will take a step back and gather my thoughts. Just wanted to update those who so graciously asked about my uncle.

Are you able to see him right now? Or whatever happened does that get in the way of visits?

Oh wow! I am sorry that you had to find out like this. That isn't right that you weren't informed already. So he will only stay at the hospice over the weekends?

I know how you feel and I am sorry. I called my mom every day and when she had a stroke nobody informed me, I called during two days and finally I asked my niece who said "I though my father had called you". This is rude, very rude. I hope your uncle will be well.

When Hospice is involved, doesn't that mean you check in but don't check out? Sorry, not trying to be funny in this situation, but it just struck me as odd that he stays at Hospice on weekends and goes home during the week. I've never heard of that before. But then again, I don't know too much about Hospice other than the experience I had with my own mother.
Anyway, sorry you received such bad news, and that nobody contacted you. Do they expect his health to decline rapidly at this point? Are you able to go visit him, even though it's so far away?

@CarolDM I forgot about the in-home option for Hospice. Originally, they were going to set that up for my mom, but her health ended up going downhill faster than they thought, so she ended up being admitted to the Hospice ICU. I don't think she made it a week after she was admitted.
I hope your uncle hangs on and lives out many more wonderful days.

No, it has changed to where you can stay at home and be under hospice now. He has been on hospice for over six months now. But right now he is an inpatient. There are different facilities and the one he is at now is for inpatient treatment and they have an ICU as well.
They do not know, it is a wait and see situation. I can't go right now.

@CarolDM I can only imagine. What I don’t understand is why send him home on Friday and admit him for weekends? Could it be because the caretaker only works during weekdays?
All that back and forth couldn’t be good for him either.
And no one notifying you is insane!
