Another Doctor Day

Hello myLot friends. I'm fixing to get my second mug of coffee as I need a bit more motivation to get up and moving. We have another doctor appointment today. Mom has an appointment with her primary doctor. These visits are usually pretty swift as he is always on time and we get in and out of there within 30 minutes. We will be getting test results today from mom's recent blood work. This was ordered by her cardiologist. Are you off to a good start today or are you dragging like me? I think I'm just procrastinating in two days of appointments in a row. Yep, back to Baton Rouge tomorrow--which reminds me I need to call and schedule another CT scan since they didn't call me. Grrr. I seem to have a little extra pep in my step today, must have been because I finally got a full night's sleep! I'm a night owl by nature, so I usually stay up late, even though I have to get up at 4am for work. Well, last night I actually went to bed at a decent time, so I got enough sleep for me to be able to function today! Good luck on the doctor visits. I'm about to start my second cup of coffee for the day.

@kareng You’re just a busy woman, that’s all! I know it’s hard to squeeze in myLot time when you’re doing so much running around. That’s how I am in the summer, when I’m crazy busy at work. And as always, that second cup of coffee really hit the spot!

Yes, all good but she has to do fasting blood work next month. Now that's going to be loads of fun trying to get there there for a morning appointment.

It gets old. I don't mind her primary doctor. He's nice, young and good looking...

@kareng I hear you loud and clear. It's surprising how much difference 'nice, young and good looking' makes.

Thank you. I did manage to rest up. Now I'm getting used to 4-5 hours of sleep a night. I'll be back in a crashing mode soon.

I was moving right along after I got up. After my mom took her time this morning with getting ready we were almost late. I'm learning to plan to leave one hour before we have to in order to get places on time.

Looks like we are going to have one of those too. My mom is refusing to get out of bed saying her leg hurts. I told her she/we need to make sure we bring that up at the doctor's office this afternoon. Her appointment is right after lunch so we need to get with it and get ready!

You can't get appointments any closer? That's really a long way to drive each time.

Nope, her insurance only covers state of Louisiana except for urgent care facilities. It's not that bad considering it takes an hour in traffic to get there if you were living IN Baton Rouge.
