There were 3 Anthologies recorded which were compilation albums of alternate tracks and rarities. "Anthology 3" was released in 1996 and covered the final 3 years of the Beatles' career from the initial sessions for "The Beatles" (White Album) (1967) to the last session for "Let It Be" and "Abbey Road" in 1969 and early 1970 at EMI and Apple Studios.
"Anthology 3" was certified triple platinum and was one of three Anthologies premiered exclusively through QVC, the home shopping channel. There is a thick little booklet included which has notes on each track. There are a total of 50 tracks; so I am just including some sample listings:
DISC ONE
5. Polythene Pam (home demo)
9. Honey Pie (home demo; edited from 2:01) - Final track was 1:19
10. Don't Pass Me By (Takes 3 & 5)
12. Good Night (rehearsal and Take 34)
17. Hey Jude (Take 2)
18. Not Guilty (Take 102; edited from 4:28) - Final track was 3:22
24. I'm So Tired (Takes 3, 6 & 9)
DISC TWO
2. She Came In Through the Bathroom Window (Savile Row sessions)
10. All Things Must Pass (demo)
12. Get Back (Live at the Beatles rooftop concert)
15. Maxwell's Silver Hammer (Take 5)
18. Come and Get It (demo by McCartney)
19. Ain't She Sweet (jam)
20. Because (a cappella)
This is definitely a collection for the hardcore Beatle fan. There are 3 Anthologies in all; and a true Beatles' connoisseur would appreciate all three. If any of you would be interested in a recap of the first 2 Anthologies, just let me know; and I would be glad to post them for you.
One of my favorites: "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window"

I don't have that CD but do have a Beatles CD called 1. Many of their #1 hits throughout the group's entire career. Over 20 songs and it has sold over 31 million copies.
