Our little housekeeper stopped by to pick up some dog stuff from us today. On Tuesday they are getting a chocolate lab puppy; and we offered to give her some of our dog stuff since we don't plan on getting any more dogs (sniff, sniff). We gave her a dog bed, leash, collar, harness, bowls and a bunch of toys. All she really needs is to pick up some food. Nothing else happening here on the Lake Erie shores. I have to drive tomorrow...not looking forward to THAT; and it's going to rain all day. I have not driven hardly at all in 9 years; so this will be a challenge. Wish me luck! Anything special on your agenda tonight? Watching anything interesting? Good night/good morning to all. See you briefly in the morning...then I will not be back online until Saturday morning. We are pretty much done with the whole pet thing as well. After we buried the last cat we kinda said been there, done that. No more.

It's much too hard to lose a pet.

@porwest As much as we would like more dogs, it's just too hard. Also, we've gotten used to not having to worry about the dogs when we go out for a few hours....and letting them out every few hours.

@LindaOHio That has always been the problem with pets. We ALWAYS have to say goodbye to them. We simply outlive them. And they become so much like family it is damn hard to say goodbye. I just hate it.

Best of luck with the driving, hope the rain is not too bad. Not much going on here, but hopefully my grandma will come home tomorrow!

Sad that you don't want a new dog but lovely that the leads, bowls, etc are going to a good home

Sniff, sniff is right, but at least you’re giving everything to a good home. Good luck driving and be safe!

Thanks. I'm back safe and sound! We lucked out because we didn't have to drive back in the dark. Rain and nighttime don't mix. Shiny roads, oncoming headlights, hard to see!

I know how it is to get rid of pet things. Stay safe driving in the rain. Watching Vikings I recorded last night.
