Hubby did it

Hubby ran to McPherson today for library reasons, and to pay a bill and he stopped by Wal Mart. He said he went to buy a new bath scrubby. He came home with beef stew meat, carrots, and worstchestershire sauce. (We now have 5 bottles of this). Of course he made beef stew. It was ready when I got home and it did taste really good. We had cornbread I had made to go with it. I hope pretty soon I can say hubby also put the extra food away.

You're lucky yours did that for you tonight. Mine came home ill and took some medicine and changed into some warm cozy sweats and went to bed. I am afraid that he has the flu, time will tell.

When mine gets sick, he gets really sick as well. In fact he caught the flu or a severe infection on our honeymoon. Great first impressions of married life.

@Juliaacv I sympathise with you. Hope he gets better before you kill him. The only thing worse than a mancold is the manflu.

@BarBaraPrz The only thing worse then the manflu, is one who only gets it ever 15 years or so. This might kill me! He's lucky that I love him so much.

Mostly, if he buys something, he gets to cook it so that it is exactly what he wanted.

@GardenGerty That's nice that your hubby helps out with the cooking. I try to help out with the cooking when I can, but I'm just not that great of a cook.

Does he usually make the stew? Why doesn't he know you already had 4 bottles of wooster?

Sometimes he stews, sometimes I stew. I do not know why he does not know what we have. We have two open bottles in the fridge. I think he made this purchase just in case we did not have any.

I sometimes do what your husband did, so now I purposely go check my shelves before I go shopping. I like an extra bottle of things, but just one extra is enough. I now make it a habit of checking my shelves all the time. I love stew too. I buy a plate lunch of it, because it's too much to make homemade ones now. DintyMoore is ok, but homemade is best stew ever.

@GardenGerty I too do that and try to finish it up that month. Now I'm all caught up. I got frozen pizza tonight which I doctor up with extra pepperoni and if I have olives open I'll add olives. This time I got fresh spinach, so I'll add that to my pizza. Maybe some fries to go with it too.
