I mentioned the other day that we have a very active storm system moving in early Saturday morning bringing possible hail, tornados, high winds, and heavy rain.
With our new and update weather forecast, it doesn't look any better. I woke up to rain this morning. We were not supposed to get rain today. The forecast had us at 20% the other day and now we are at 60%.
Wednesday the wind was whipping up and very strong for a day that was supposed to be nice and sunny. Well we did get sunshine but the wind was horrible. I wondered if the system was coming through faster than expected but it brought no rain and Thursday the wind had been reduced to a pleasant breeze like wind.
Here is how the next few days are supposed to play out with rain:
Friday Night: 90%
Saturday: 100%
Sunday: 10%
Monday: 80%
Tuesday: 90%
Wednesday: 40%
We have a lot of wet stuff on the way
and the weather may effect the BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans, LA. The city is already below sea level and it doesn't take much for flooding there.
I'm off to go back outside and pick up some things that may go flying off. They said expect up to 80MPH winds on Saturday.
I hope everyone stays safe in the path of this storm. Are you going to be affected by this weather system?

Me too! I'm exhausted tonight. I tried to pick up as much as I could today. Gave chickens extra food. Fixed a coffee cake in case we have no electricity in the morning. Washed 3 loads of laundry. Fixed a big dinner in prep for no electricity tomorrow. I over did it for sure. My hip is really sending me signals tonight.

No big problems in my area. Lost electricity for at least 7 hours but that was all. There were 2-3 fatalities in Louisiana though. I hope it isn't too bad in your area. The weather said tornadoes in south so hopefully the rest of the country won't have to deal with that aspect.

@kareng It was a good thing. Thats one reason I bought the cereal. If the electric would be off it is easy to fix.

It is so cold here right now. We had horrible wind/rain just some hours ago. Right now, the rain stops. We often have had that sort of similar strong wind here lately. My backgates got broken about 6 times because of that (cost me a bit every time I asked a handyman over to fix them.)

Aren't you getting it now? Saturday night? It moved through here pretty fast. Wasn't too bad here. I heard the wind howling a couple of times last night. Our electricity went out around 4 am or slightly after and stayed out until right before lunch. I can handle that over a tornado! Stay safe!

We are both still here, so that is great! Survivors!
