I am so glad he's gay

His name is Bayard Van Duivel and he's of Dutch origin. His Wife, Annabelle, has just recently found out that he is gay. It's something he's hidden from her, but more importantly, from himself. I do hate the way she came to know about his sexuality, however. You see, she had just left him to talk with an old school mate while she went to compose herself. She's suffering from sickness in relation to her being pregnant. She hasn't yet told Bayard. She was returning to her husband, had just reached where she left him, when she witnessed his lips attached to that of his old school mate's. She was so shocked that she passed out. I'm glad he's gay though, I think it makes for a better story. The struggle of being yourself in a society that doesn't allow it. For those who believe I was talking about real people, the name of the book is The English Wife by Lauren Willig

oh wow, he should have not done than right there and then just out of respect for his wife. She should have told his wife about this. Though I do not have anything against him. It is just he is being unfair to himself and his wife

Well, it's just a story and I think it makes for a more shocking revelation. However, the way I read it, it seems as if Bayard had the kiss forced upon him. The school mate initiated the kiss.

@rakski The book is becoming more and more interesting. We (the readers) already know several things, but I think that the things we know will be tilted, and the author will surprise us.

I thought I'd trip a few people up here today... I'll admit I wrote the title for more of a shock value. I can be bad sometimes.

It is probably an interesting book for sure, but not really my speed. I wonder if she is glad he's gay because that baby isn't his? lol

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh. lol. Well, glad you clarified that a bit for me. It was difficult to separate the commentary from the plot.
