From ghoulies and ghosties . . .

. . . long-leggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night, Good Lord, deliver us! This is an old, traditional Scots prayer exhorting the Almighty to protect from us evil spirits, ghosts, etc. Considering some of the frightening things which have been happening in our house recently maybe we should be reciting this each night! Do you say any prayers in times of fear and uncertainty?
