Car troubles!!! / myLot

It’s been a long morning and afternoon is now starting! We spend and hour trying to get the van to kick over. It sat for two months and the battery that’s only a year old was was so drained we couldn’t get it to hold enough of a charge. So we had to ask the auto places to put a new one. $135 for them to do it. Bluggg! Now after the kids come home we can bring it to the other car shop and have them look at the muffler and see if it really needs to be fixed or not.

Just one year for the life of the battery huh. Something might be wrong with the van.

It sat for 2.5 months and we have had some supper cold days so it is possible for its battery to be 100% drained and not hold a charge. Battery don’t do well I the cold and don’t keep chargers or will lose it which is why a lot of cars in the winter need jumping . Batteries for cars last up to 4 years

@ShyBear88 yes, I understand that the life of battery is affected by the weather too. Besides, if it was not used for more than 2 months then it can be drained somehow.

@Alexandoy just be sitting for 2.5 months with no moment yep the battery can dries slowly because there is no gas and stuff moving around the car like it should. That’s why they say if your not using a car to turn it on ever so often to keep the battery good
