2020 is Disappointing so Far

It is a new year and a new decade. So far, it has not been that great. I had cataract surgery that went well. Then I got a sunburn. A couple of days ago, I got stung by a wasp. Those are nasty. I felt something on my neck. Brushed it off and it stung my finger two or three times. Now I have the shakes and a fever. I think I might die. I know the wasp did because I know where the bug spray is. What's happening with you so far in 2020?

The wasp's life ended in 2020. I'm sorry you had a 'shakey' start to the new year. I hope you feel better soon. At least the cataract surgery went well. It's good to have 20/20 vision. The sunburn will peel away, and you'll be good as new. You won't die.

@just4him The insurance makes you wait until you can't see much before they approve of it. That is the way it is. I doubt that I could pay for it on my own. Right now is not too bad. I can see close up with one eye and the other is for distance. I am not wearing glasses while on the computer or reading.

They only did one eye. It is not perfect but I can see a whole lot better with it. I am seeing the colors that I forgot about. I can still see with the other eye and the insurance won't cover it now. I will try driving once the shakes from being stung by the wasp are over. I can't be boogying all over the road.

@akalinus You mean because they only did one eye, the insurance won't cover the other one? Or it's not ready for the surgery yet? Good idea waiting until you stop shaking before you start driving.

Thank you! Me too. The wasp sting is the worst. I think I must be allergic now but never was before. I got an itchy rash just about everywhere. I hate wasps and don't know their purpose in living.

@akalinus I'm so sorry to learn what happened with you this year.For me,this year seems to be a mixed one.I seem to have undergone a change in my attitude.Due to my poor English I can't explain to you what change I'm now feeling in myself ,but whatever it is,but it is for better. I bought some books on spirituality and read them all .All these books are in Hindi. My sister has suddenly got some problem in her throat.Tomorrow I am taking her to a renowned ENT who lives in the capital city of our neighbouring state.We are extremely worried for her.

Oh man . . . well hopefully the rest of the year will go much better ! So far I'm in continuation mode - things are not much different "yet" - things are ok but moving forward slower than I wish. I know it's a new year, but I keep forgetting it's actually a new decade!
