Last night I was reading in my room. I heard a noise and saw eyes looking at me through a tiny window at the top. "What on earth?" I thought. It was a gray cat sitting on my porch roof. I hit the window with my hand to shoo it away. It hit the screen to shoo me away. Soon he climbed down the tree and scooted away. He was a nice visitor. Have you ever seen something staring through the window in your room? Any cat stories out there? Image from Pixabay.

Do you like cats? Some places won't let you have them.

@akalinus Not really.Never.I,however,sometimes keep staring at others who pass from in front of my window late night. I do so when sleep is elusive and I don't feel like reading any book.

People watching is pretty interesting. I make up stories in my mind about people I see.

@Shivram59 People keep passing by and you wonder where they are going and where they have been, who is their family and so on.

@RebeccasFarm We have a lot of wild animals like opossums and raccoons around here. I was happy to see the cat.

Aww he probably wanted it for comfort. My cat is an indoor. My cats of long ago were inside and out since we lived far from a road and they'd sit at the window telling me to let them in.

Cats are interesting creatures. When we lived in town, we had indoor cats. I don't have a cat now.

@noni1959 He was used to barn life, so it seems good to me.

@akalinus They have so many different personalities. I keep mine in all the time now. We do have one the previous owner abandoned and he was an outside barn cat. We adopted him and he goes out in the day and stays in the barn then comes in at night.

@akalinus No, no one looking through my window that I know of. I do have cat stories. I used to feed stray cats where I lived and there was a gray one that used to walk me to my building after I fed them. He did not want to come inside the building, but, just left after escorting me home.

Lately there has been a black cat that looks just like my cat, the Dude, coming around the deck and going after my birds in the feeder. Not sure where he lives but he is very friendly. However he has to go away from my birds.

It is hard to keep birds safe from cats and squirrels wanting the birds' food.

@CarolDM That's good. They can be a terrible nuisance to the birds or if they come in your attic or your ceiling. Maybe the cats keep them away.

@crazyhorseladycx Animals just know who is kind and who isn't. That is why they pick one place over another. Pups like to explore places.

This cat was playing, I think. I hit the window and he batted back. The cats know your porch belongs to a good person.

It is a little startling. I saw the eyes, they looked big but the window was small. It was just for air. I have bigger windows too.
