So what do you think is it? Are you familiar with the thing? I looked for my ear cleaner because I can't locate it to the organizer it is placed. However, I found this thing I'd forgotten we have. This is one of the tools we use to educate couple back then when I was still working at the community based health station. This is called the cycle beads; a natural family planning method for women.

Wow I did not know that there are beads like that. I think that is good if the cycle of your partner is normal and follows that natural way of ovulation but if she has an irregular cycle it is hard to use that beads.

It is use for natural family planning. If a couple wants birth control and won't go for the available artificial methods then twomen were advised to use this instead. Red bead indicates first day of menstruation. Each bead should be pull down from the string every day. Those green beads are days most likely a woman gets pregnant if contacts happen. Those are unsafe days. Those light brown after that are safe days. The dark brown bead indicates if a woman has a cycle shorter than 26.

is it different from the rhythm method? that silver christmas wrapper you used as background is so classy.

They're similar in a way that they're both considered calendar based method but it is their only similarity. In rhythm it requires calculation. It's box that wasn't unwrapped yet used as gift decor under the Christmas tree. Thank you.

I think this is still included in the doh family planning program. It has a backing from the church i think because it is a natural way.

It would have been better if that cycle bead is not invisible but I'm sure the couple could use that by mere touching.
