Another Cold Snap is Coming

My Dad used to call me and always talk about the weather. He said we have a cold snap coming, or a heat wave. Funny the things we talked about. At the time I took the conversations for granted. But now I miss them.
So here I am talking about the weather and the cold snap we have coming.
Woke up to cold weather again this morning. Low 30s. Our high will be maybe in the 40s. Coffee was enjoyed inside this morning. The cats agreed and continued napping as usual.
The birds are crowding the feeder. No matter the weather you can see the birds. I don't mind the cold today, no plans. Some things to get done.
Next week we will get teens at night. Now that is cold. Probably will have coffee inside then as well.

In winters, it is the chill factor induced due to rains, icy cold winds, heavy snow that makes us more uncomfortable.
Technically, in weather reports, they term it as "Wind Chill factor".
Even here, we are having cold winds, even sometimes during sunny afternoons that makes us wear caps.
And the bitter cold winds hit in the face in the mornings.
Thankfully, I am not in a place with -15 or -20 C !!

A second summer/winter home is a dream for me, or perhaps for most.
The British had a winter capital of Delhi and summer capital of Shimla- a Hill station further up north, when they were ruling India.

It’s a matter of perspective. It’s 34F (1C) here, which is probably “warm” for you. I’m freezing!

@FourWalls Our temperatures have actually been above that for the past couple of months. We had a cold snap around Remembrance Day, which is the 11of the November, otherwise its been relatively mild for this time of the year, except the odd few days here and there where it has been around or slightly below the freezing point.
Its been such a crazy season.

@JudyEv the main city centres in Nepal would be fine, but some upper reaches (may be 2000 M plus) might be having snow.

It's going to be cold here too, and this coming week will have lows in the teens. I will be dog sitting a day or two as well...since friend has a test at the hospital and may or may not stay overnight. It's OK though, because Jax doesn't go out alot. He is content to hang around the house with the people and beg for food! lol.

It’s cold just up the road from you here, too. I was planning on going to Nashville to do some library digging, but right now I think I’ll postpone that until there’s no worries of snow, sleet, or 12-degree wind chills.

It's in the 30s today with s**w on the ground. Big s**w coming tonight and tomorrow...By mid-week we will be in the 40s again! Yay! It's nice that you have good memories about your Father. Most people don't really appreciate someone until he/she is gone. I think that's human nature. You take it for granted that that person will be around forever.

aha, winter 'tis finally payin' ya a visit, eh? 'twas a lovely 50 here monday, got loads 'ccomplished though nobody could tell 'nless they saw the place prior, lol.
i miss visitin' with my dad, too. nearly called him this past saturday...
