Day 165 Promise 216 Psalm 66:8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: 9 Which holds our soul in life, and suffers not our feet to be moved. 10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. 11 Thou brought us into the net; thou laid affliction upon our loins. 12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou brought us out into a wealthy place. Everyone goes through trials. It is how we handle those trials that prove us. David showed that when people trust God in the trials, He will bring them through. As Christians, Satan brings trials your way you never experienced before you accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord. His trials will either break you and cause you to turn from your faith, or you will turn to God and trust Him to bring you through. What are you going through? Are you seeing one problem after another? Are you persevering through the trials and trusting God or are you singing the woe is me song? It’s easy to complain about our troubles. It’s easy to lay the blame for our trouble on God. It’s harder to persevere and trust that God has something greater in store for you. It’s hard to praise God when life seems against you. Yet, when you trust God to bring you through, when you tell Satan he won’t break you, and you persevere to the end, God will bring you through and you will see the blessing God reserved for you. You only need to trust Him. He will bring joy out of heartache and pleasure out of chaos. Let’s pray: Father, you know what I face.
