My officemate told of a friend who is earning a 6 digit salary in Dubai. I asked her what it means and she said it is 100,000 and above. Then I thought it would be different purchasing power depending on the currency.

i think it also depends on the cost of living in that country, if there's tax/deductions, if you have free housing, food, health benefits, insurance and the kind of work that you do. but i think the most important is your lifestyle.

That is a wise point of view on the matter. Several factors are at play, you are right.

I make way more than that if you base it in terms of zimbabwe dollars
Calculator to convert money in Philippine Peso (PHP) to and from Third Zimbabwean Dollar (ZWR) using up to date exchange rates.

@yoalldudes if the salaries are that big then many will not leave the country for greener pasture, right?

You can grow your online gig. Remember the Filipino webpage designer who earned 7.8 million in a year?

@JustBhem Given my present condition I can do part time only. I can only dream that if I recover. I have day job but absent 2-3 days a week. My boss is keeping me but I dont know for how long.

I do. But even that doesn't go as far here as I am sure it would in Dubai.
