One of my neighbors had surgery recently. I see her when she takes her dogs out in her backyard. I have not seen her in awhile. Blamed it on the cold weather.
I noticed her husband out yesterday so I asked him how she was. She had surgery last week. Nothing major but she can't do much for a few weeks. Her mother is there helping out he said.
So I baked a cake today and took it over to her. She was asleep but her dear mother said she would make sure she got it. I didn't know but her husband said the chocolate with cream cheese frosting is his favorite. I got lucky on that one.
It makes you feel good to do something nice for others.

Yes it does feel good to do things for others. That is good that it was your neighbors favorite kind of cake

It is a wonderful way to gain favor from your neighbor doing them wonderful deeds. The returns on your kindness will be wonderful for you and your loved in the future. It worked for my relatives this past Christmas.

That was very sweet of you. Most people here seem to keep to themselves, and that is OK with me. Where I lived before everyone was always hanging around outside and since it was a townhouse community and we were on top of each other anyway, I didn't like it at all. I felt like I was living in a fishbowl.
