A Holiday Disappointment

Every year we visit a holiday park not too far from where we live and for the last 4 years we have stayed in a little privately owned chalet that I discovered online. It was a real home from home and the owners let it out very cheaply. They also allowed pets so we could take our dogs.
This year I searched for it and discovered it isn't there any more so I assume the owners have sold it which is a great disappointment. Today I will be searching for different accommodation although I know it will not be as cheap but we always have such a great time there and I'm determined to find somewhere else to stay on the site.

I found somewhere
It's on the same site and similar to the chalet we stayed in before and costs about the same. I was so pleased as I thought it was going to take much longer to find somewhere.

@LadyDuck The layout is the same but the only difference is they have a shower room whereas the previous lodge had a bath and shower over it but I don't mind that.

Sorry to hear that chalet isn't available anymore. I do hope you find something else that can accommodate you, as I know from previous comments how much you enjoyed visiting this holiday park every year!

I have found something! It was so much easier than I thought. I looked online, saw something similar and rang the owner. Within 10 minutes it was all arranged and I have paid a deposit for a week in August.

@moffittjc It was a great relief. It's not a particularly exciting place but it's great for kids and safe too. It doesn't compare with Disney World though!

The picture is of the same site and thankfully I have found something similar! Yay! It's about the same price too so I'm relieved. We are going the first week in August but you have to book early because the school holiday dates are sought after.

@Lushlala I was really surprised that I found something so easily and quickly because not all places take pets and I wanted to take one of my dogs. The other is staying at home this year because she is very old and confused. Pete will stay and look after her as I am going with my sister and Teagan.

@sprite1950 OMG it's gorgeous!!! Thank God you were able to find something similar and at about the same price as well. Good on you for planning ahead, otherwise you may not have got it or the price would have been higher!

I have been searching online for something similar as my granddaughter loves the site and she can wander around it unsupervised as it is so safe.

@Alexandoy This is only a 30 minutes drive from us so it was perfect as one of my dogs gets car sick but she was ok on this journey.

@sprite1950 well I hope you can find a similar one. There is a place like that here with a pool and dogs are allowed. It is 3 hours drive. We go there every summer.
