I am continuing this thread on fortune cookies and will post some of the fortunes I have gotten. Some will be no-brainers. Some will be inspirational. Some not clear at all. Some of them, can be interpreted in different ways and I'll ask your opinion on those. Fortune: "In life, it's good not to get too comfortable." I take this fortune as saying life can and will change at the drop of a pin. You shouldn't be comfortable with everything around you or in your life because it can change at any minute. How do you interpret this fortune? Photo Credit: Pixabay, public domain

The same way. You never know what's going to happen from one moment to the next.

Don“t expect too much from other people. Your life is what you make it.

I understand it the way you did. Things change. Therefore, you must not be comfortable with what you have and pray hard so things will be handled

I was thinking that it means, if you get too comfortable, life is going to hit you in the head with lemons! I know the phrase states "when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade," but let's face it, when is the last time life ever handed us anything? It always smacks us upside the head with something!

That's true. You work for what you get. And life can take it all away. Zap and it's gone.

@kareng That's why we need to make sure we enjoy the ride along the way! Because we never know when it's all going to be over.

Either to be prepared for change or to not become complacent and stop striving forward.

Both of those are good and I can see that view well.
