I like very few country singers; but Patsy Cline is one of them. I love her voice.
She was born on September 8, 1932. In 1957 she made her first national TV appearance on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts. She performed "Walkin' After Midnight" which became her first major hit on the country and pop charts. Cline was one of the first country singers to crossover successfully into the pop genre. Her genres of music were country, Nashville sound, honky-tonk, rockabilly, traditional pop and gospel. She died at the early age of 30 in a small plane crash on March 5, 1963.
