I don't know how it happened, but the bottom shelf in my refrigerator decided to collapse last night. I would have been OK if not for the open can of beets I had on said shelf. I can't remember if I uttered an oath or not. I do remember staring in disbelief. Any minor mishaps in your house recently?

Oh, heck no. I don't really know how it happened. Something I was getting must have had something on it that grabbed the shelf and yanked it out of position. I don't believe in ghosts.

Uh oh ! The stuff in the containers were probably ok . . . but what is that red stuff - that would be a pain to clean. I did get a little stew "juice" on the counter . . . it was from a Persian herb stew that has a lot of turmeric in it . . . that turmeric stuff stains .

Not recently but last summer the other half came home from work to find the freezer shelf had slid out opening the door and there was melted chocolate ice cream all over the floor.
