D&D with friends

So last night I played some Dungeons & Dragons with some friends online. It's been a while since I have played and it was fun to play for a few hours. Years ago I had played back in high school, at least a few times and that was back when it was thought that it was the devils work and it was a very nerdy thing LOL. I tried it a few times cause I thought it might be interesting but I also kind of thought it was very nerdy. I stopped playing it cause it was just a little odd to me. That was in the 1980's In the 1990's I gave it a try again with different people and it was a lot of fun. We would get together about once a week a play for about a year. Then people got married, moved or situations changed so we stopped playing. Then about 4 or 5 years ago I met some people that wanted to play and we started up and played about once a week at someones house and it was a lot of fun again but again things happened and people were not able to play. Now we have figured out how to play online and a few from the group from 4 years ago and a few others we have met online have started to play again. We can all be at our own homes and still play. We have played a few times but schedules have been hard to match up. We are going to try and play at least once a month. Have you ever played D&D before? Have you ever wanted to try it? I think it can be fun with the right people. It's a nice escape from reality so of course I like it It's still a little nerdy I guess but that is alright, I don't need to impress anyone with how cool I am anymore , not sure how cool I was back then anyways.
