Saturday 25th January
A busy day, Burns Night, and Chinese New Year. I hadn't realized the Chinese New Year events were on the city of Preston until I saw the dragon being prepared in the museum, and some musicians practicing for a show for later in the day.
I had to collect a parcel of books directly from the post office as they couldn't be bothered asking one of my neighbours to take it in for me. I then went on a trip round a few local bars. I considered watching the Chinese Parade but it was very cold out so I came home.
Sunday 26th January
A library day and routine job searching.
Monday 27th January and Tuesday 28th January
I went to the local community centre which was very quiet and did some job searching there.
Wednesday 29th January
My welfare hearing day and the return of my regular advisor, who made no effort to apologize for keeping me waiting for ten minutes. She hit me with lots of job and course suggestions, including a free admin course in late February over a week long period, which actually could be useful for me. So I am booked on that one.
Thursday 30th January
The community centre was closed today for staff training, which I was warned of earlier in the week, so I just stayed home catching up on my writing projects.

That course could be good for you you never know.
Good luck with the writing.
The main cities are the only places where you see a bit of a Chinese celebration really.
