Somehow Coffee & Nicotine Lozenge is not the same

Today is a big day for me. Today is day 1 of not smoking cigarettes. After about 13 years of smoking and only one quit attempt, it has been long coming. The problem is I just enjoy smoking. While at home, at work, in the car, in the outdoors, after exercising, after eating, before eating, after a flight, while drinking, before eating... and so forth. Literally! I enjoy it a lot. I figured now is as good time as ever because I am sick with a sore throat, and it’s winter. I’ve only been up 2-2.5 hours today (and last cigarette at 11pm last night) and it’s already taking a toll on me. I think because I know I am committed to quitting and being done, for good. However, hopefully my next post will not be one admitting to my failure, but we shall see. I am hoping y’all can help keep me accountable!

Jay quit thirty years ago and he went through a lot, giving it up. Any bad habit is hard to break, when a person has become addicted to that nicotine!

Ah that is inspirational. Glad to hear it. I know it has only been about 14 hours but I am excited to see the positive effects. Just hoping I do not gain any weight in the process.

@maezee Jay started exercising and running, at the same time. He had never felt that good, in all his life!

Yes. I actually have one but it for whatever reason isn’t charging. I do not really like ecigs at all but was hoping to use one to ween me off the nicotine. Right now I am using a nicotine inhaler which does not produce any vapor or smoke. Which is unfortunate lol

Quitting smoking is not easy, but giving up any habit is hard. I am rooting for you. Have you tried vaping?
