Day 179 Promise 237 Psalm 103:1 (A Psalm of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgives all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases; 4 Who redeems thy life from destruction; who crowns thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Everyone looks for benefits to help them in life. They look for benefits in their jobs, insurance plans, and where they live. People want to know what’s in it for them. God gives benefits to His people. David showed what they are and people should not forget them as they looked to God as their hope and salvation. As Christians, you have the same benefits as God’s chosen people because He chose you from the foundation of the world. His benefits are forgiveness, health, redemption, food, and energy. As you age, you realize how important health and energy are to the body. They are just as important as forgiveness and redemption. When you accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord, God gave you His full benefits package. Your benefits package is free. Jesus paid the premiums with His blood on the cross. His death and resurrection insured your benefits program was paid in full. You don’t need to do anything extra to receive God’s benefits. You only need to take advantage of the plan. Have you read through God’s benefit plan for your life? God’s benefit plan is detailed in His Word. As you read and study His plan, you will see all you are entitled to as His child. It’s benefit season. Take advantage of God’s plan for your life today and enjoy the benefits of your salvation. It’s already paid for. Let’s pray: Father, I know I don’t take advantage of the benefits You provided me. Help me to understand all You gave me as Your child and live my life according to the plan You have for me.
