There Is No High Road Left

As I was trolling around on Facebook this morning, I came across an obviously doctored image of Adam Schiff that struck my funny. I "stole" the picture and added my own little caption to it.
"Fis pwesident hast dun fary impeafable fings. Flease liften to me. Fary impeafable fings!"
Look, the thing is, and I know there will be some here who will disagree with me, but this whole impeachment thing is a complete sham. It is a complete mockery of the process. It is a complete molestation of our Constitution and the intent of our founding fathers.
In a nutshell, the impeachment thing is absolutely ridiculous. The entire actions of the democrat party have been totally ridiculous.
Is the picture a little bit disrespectful? Is it ridiculous? Maybe. BUT, we have really come to this point, have we not, BECAUSE of the complete and utter ridiculousness of the left?
So, I get to have my fun too. Enough is enough.

@just4him I think it might be almost imminent that quite a lot of democrats will be voted out, and I would not be surprised if Pelosi is one of them. I think we are going to see a real red wave the likes we have not seen in quite a long time. Republicans will control the house and Pelosi will at least not be Speaker anymore.

Yeah, every time they impeach a president, like Clinton, it's never about his role as president but rather his personal life which no sane person cares about.
This just strikes me as one of those kindergarten tantrums the weaker kids took out on the bullies that picked on em, yeah, I was picked on too but I'm not impeaching anyone cuz they're bullies ....... hmmmm, what an idea, I should impeach all those bullies that picked on me

Well, I have to say, even as a republican, I mostly disagreed with Clinton's impeachment. That being said the impeachment of Clinton was NOT about his personal life. He was impeached for perjury. A lot of people seem to misconstrue the reason for his impeachment. Screwing an intern? Bad but not impeachable. Lying under oath? That's a different story. But I still felt it was a thinly based impeachment and I agreed with his acquittal as well.

Logically it makes sense that any married man would want to hide the fact that he'd done something like what he did, no I'm not defending him, so his lying is in that respect understandable but if he'd been in cohoots with China or Russia against the US I'd be all for hanging the bozo @porwest

I totally agree with you! My husband liked to tune in a little to see what was going on. Anytime Schiff would talk, I had to turn away from the screen! He and Nadler make my blood boil!

What it was, was very simply a show of power by the democrat controlled house. Nancy Pelosi herself said it loud and clear. "No matter the outcome, the president HAS forever on the record been impeached." They simply wanted to try to tarnish his record. Very unfortunate for the democrats that it will fail miserably on many levels. I think the democrats just afforded Trump and the republican party an historical win.

@porwest As I said, you are entitled to your opinion. I refuse to comment one way or the other because I don't want to get into a conversation about this subject. I agree with you on some points; but I don't want to discuss it. No offense. :-) I will agree that going to the Senate was a waste of time and the public's money.
