Going for a hike today.

A friend and I are going hiking late this afternoon up at Inspiration Point, in Tilden Park above Berkeley.
We met in Santa Barbara when we were in school down there, and have been friends ever since.
He actually lived up here in the Bay Area for several years, but moved back to Santa Barbara a couple of years ago.
It's our current "ritual" to take a hike and then eat dinner a certain restaurant in Berkeley when he comes up here.
I'm trying to decide whether to wear long pants or shorts, as temperatures will be around 60 F, but there can be strong winds up there.
I'll attach the sunset picture that I took up there a couple of years ago. The sun should set a little further to the North (right) tonight, as this picture was taken in late December, if I remember correctly.

I've never been to Berkley, so I don't know much about it other than it has a prestigious University. Is that a bridge in the background of the photo?

@moffittjc The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco to Marin Country (where a lot of rich liberal people live). Berkeley is across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco. It can be a fifteen minute drive, or a two hour drive, depending on traffic.

Beautiful shot. Carol's suggestion sounds good. Wear shorts and take a jacket. You can always take the jacket off if it's too warm. Hope you have a great time!

@LindaOHio It was a good time. The conversation was fun. And we DID get to hear some coyotes howling as sunset approached.
