India set a massive target of 348 runs to New zealand for a win in 1st ODI being played at Hamilton, New Zealand. India posted a huge score of 347/4 with the help of a good partnership of 136 runs between Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Iyer scored a century, 103 of 107 balls and Rahul made 88 n. o. Of 64 balls. Playing first and without their star batsmen and regular openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhavan, Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal opened the innings for India and put on 50 runs for 1st wicket. But both the openers were out in short duration. It was then left to skipper Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer to steady the innings who put on 102 runs for third wicket. Virat Kohli made 51 of 63 balls who was out from a beautiful googli by Sodhi. New Zealand plsying second are 56 for no loss in 10.4 overs still needing 292 runs of 39.2 overs. Uphill task but achievable.

India has been in a good form in this trip. Yes it seems like a big score to chase but it's definitely achievable. Especially New Zealand is a good side. Must be an entertaining match. Good that Rohit's absence was not missed much. Shows that we have enough shoulders to fall back on in our team

New Zealand right on track at the moment. If they don't miss like in T20 series they will make it but going to be great game either way.

@msdivkar The two super over games in T20 were thrilling ones. New Zealand is a strong team and they have a few Indian origin players on their side.
