Pumpkin's Positive Post: My Supportive Husband

Hello all. I hope everyone is as well as can be. I've been very tired recently, and struggled to keep up with some of the things I wanted to do. Today, I woke up a little dazed, unsure of what to do with myself. I had intended to do a couple of jobs but my lovely husband (D) encouraged me to have a rest day because he knew I needed it. Sitting on the settee with him, D looked at the hoodie I'm wearing. He smiled and said he liked seeing me wear this one. It's my Open University hoodie, and he said it reminds him of how proud he is of me and how proud he was on the day I received my degree. I've got pictures of him where he's looking at me and you can see how proud he is (it's really lovely). I said that I wanted to get on with things but my head felt like it had gone on holiday. D suggested I go for a walk because, he thought, it would make me feel better. As I was getting ready to go for a walk, I remembered that I wanted to take some pictures of the local area for inclusion in a piece of writing. I spent about an hour taking pictures as I walked around the park and the town. Given the time I was out, I didn't seem to take many pictures but I already have some. It was also enjoyable just being out in the fresh air, doing something I wanted as opposed to going somewhere because I had to. There was no rushing, no stressing (apart from the occasional off-leash dog), just enjoying the rather mild winter's day. I got home just before Mini (youngest son, who had been at drama this morning). I made a cup of tea and a sausage sandwich for the three of us, watched an episode of Star Trek: Picard, and then got on with some writing. It didn't seem like I wrote much but I did spend over an hour so I was happy about that. I have until Friday to finish it. Today was, thanks to my husband, more productive and interesting than I thought it was going to be. This evening, we have been invited to my biggest nephew's house for celebrations. He didn't specify what we're celebrating but, as it's coming up to his birthday, we are assuming it's an early birthday celebration. I might need to wake up my husband as he's having a nap. He's been pottering about doing a few bits and bobs but he's had a pretty leisurely day as well. There are a few things I need to do now so I shall bid you farewell. What have you done today? Do you need motivation? What do you do or who gives you a metaphorical kick up the backside when you need it? The picture is one I took earlier.

May I borrow your hubs for oh, about a week please? I've spent time outdoors weeding and moving potplants into the shade house. I'm experimenting wit different propagation methods.

I have considered hiring him out. Unfortunately, he can't travel too far so I might not be able to post him to you :D
