I haven't been well lately....

I'm not completely sure how, what or why I haven't been so good. But I do have a theory. Roughly 15 days ago I had a bath and I used a bath bomb that my Nan got for me for Christmas. I rarely use bath bombs. Probably used like 2 or 3 my whole life. The very next night I started dealing with frequent urination. No joke, every hour or less my bladder was filling up and I had to go. It was driving me nuts because I'm sure you can imagine how hard it is to fall asleep when you have to constantly pee. Anyway within the next few days it got worse as well as dealing with stomach aches, pelvic aches, lower back aches and then a bit of pain on the right side (flank). Along with nausea and some dizziness. I am thinking maybe the bath bomb irritated me. I went to see my doctor, gave her my pee (which is always totally fun to do in those little cups.... ) She did that "Dip Test" and said that it wasn't really showing anything. But my pee has still been sent to the lab. I will get the results next week some time. But til then I have been on antibiotics, and I THINK they might be working. I've only had 4 so far though. Fingers crossed it's working cause it's so irritating. Only thing I'm feeling at the moment is a tad of nausea, still bit dizzy, bloated and feeling pressure in my bladder. That's the best way I can describe that. I've never had a UTI before but I'm aware of the symptoms but I still haven't felt it before so no clue if I have a UTI. Guess I will find out next week. I'm just annoyed because I start my Childcare Course on Tuesday and would rather not feel this way or exhausted. I will do a post about my course soon too. I would love to know if anyone has experienced a UTI before? Of course that's if you feel comfortable sharing it.

I think you had a UTI and it is possible that those bath bombs caused it. UTI is horrible I have experienced a few times and it is one of the most annoying thing that a woman can experience.

@LadyDuck I did ask my doctor if getting a UTI from a bath bomb is normal and she told me that many women have come in with complaints about them. I know I will never be using them ever again! Really not worth it.

@VivaLaDani13 I know that I have to be very careful what I add to the water of my bath. Those bath bombs contain something that could cause a UTI.

@LadyDuck I'm sorry you've suffered a few times! I'm not totally sure if I have it. I did get a text the other day saying my "recent cervical screening result is normal." Which makes me happy but I'm not sure if those also pick up UTI's. I know it's to test for cancers and STI's but I don't know. My doctor hasn't rang me about the urine test. I am still having frequent urination. A little bit sick here and there but nothing as bad like before. Can I please ask, when you suffered with UTI, did you have any techniques you'd do to try help the frequent urination? I have been heating up my heat pack and placing it ....down there....and it normally stops the sensation but as soon as it gets cold, I can feel I need to go again. It's really annoying.

@VivaLaDani13 That is not good. What is a bath bomb? There are nights I have to get up several times to go to the bathroom and other nights can try and sleep right through the night. That is so horrible. I am glad you think the antibiotics are working. I hope the results will be good and you will be feeling better for your course.

@Hannihar Bath bombs are these colourful balls ( or other shapes ) that you throw in your bath to make it smell nice or make the bath look colourful etc. It has made me stop feeling sick and aches have gone. But I am still dealing with frequent urination. I don't feel the urge as much but it's still there to the point it makes it hard to sleep. And I've finished all my antibiotics.

Yes, I had a UTI a couple of years ago. I also didn't know I had it for six minths. I had always been told when you have a UTI it hurts to urinate, but I never experienced that. I actually was at the doctor for something else when they told me I had a 101 degree fever. Six months prior my urine had gotten darker, and I was exhausted. But I thought I was just being wimpy, and that my urine was darker because I hadn't drank enough water - not the case. So after a few weeks of antibiotics everything got better. I certainly hope you feel better soon.

@AmbiePam oh wow! And I am the same as you ( I mean, if I even have a UTI, I haven't gone for results yet ) but it doesn't hurt me to urinate. But my goodness! I am glad yours got found! And thank you so very much. I am feeling better with no more dizziness but sick here and there but nothing like before. But unfortunately I am still dealing with the frequent urination and that is what bothers me the most. I'd honestly rather feel sick for hours than feeling the need to pee.

@RebeccasFarm Thank you kindly. I'm not 100% sure if it is a UTI. I am curious to know if my test results show anything. I'm still dealing with frequent urination. Driving me nuts. I even have to go now even though I went less than 10 minutes ago!

My first thought was that you may have a UTI. Of course, I've never experienced one myself, but I know I've dated girls who have had them, and it looks like it's no fun at all to deal with. I know it's not a laughing matter, but I have a funny story to tell you. A couple of years ago, the kids and I were at Disney for Christmas, and one of my daughter's friends was supposed to meet up with us. We were standing in the queue to get on a ride, and I asked my daughter where her friend was. She responded that her friend wasn't coming because she had a UTI. My son, who overhead the conversation, blurted out really loudly, "A UTI....I've got one of those!" People all around us started laughing. My son had no idea what he was talking about, he didn't even know what a UTI was! haha

@moffittjc I'm still not sure if I even have a UTI. I haven't heard back from my doctor about the urine test so maybe nothing was there but I'm already through half my antibiotics and I'm still peeing a lot. Sickness has mostly gone so that's good. aw your sweet son! What happened after? Did you explain what a UTI was?

@snowy22315 I'm sorry you've experienced a UTI a few times. I'm not sure if I have one as I haven't had any results back yet but something must be wrong because I'm still dealing with major frequent urination.
