Does fasting make us younger?

Got some great news this afternoon.. I have had diabetes2 for some years, and after trying intermittent fasting, the nurse I usually visit, told me I don't need to inject insulin any more.. - so diabetes can reverse.. Let's see if this works in a long run.. Here is an interesting video

I fast from time to time, my personal belief is it's like doing a restart similar to a computer, it give the body time to rid itself of what it does not need.

Good illustation - I have fasted many days when younger, and I used veg and fruit juices and teas.. felt better afterwards..

@buenavida true, there are fasts that does not have to be complete abstinence, oh yes water should always be incorporated to neutralize toxins that would be discharged faster during fast.

That is amazing. I am not a doctor, and I don't know whether the fasting will be so beneficial for the diabetics. I just know that the diabetics can't being starved as it can lead to pass out.

I have fasted many times in the past, but now I only eat during an 8 hours period a day, so I don't starve at all..

I am not fasting all the time, just fast in the morning and eat during eight hours - not hard at all - this nurse can test the long time sugar level with a machine and it shows a lot of data so she knows if I need insulin or not

@buenavida That is an interesting title. I have never heard of fasting put that way. I guess because in Judaism we have certain times that we fast and I do not feel younger, but, feel healthier I guess.

I used to fast even when I was healthier in the 1970s without diabetes, it seems to clean the body
