The Snore Monster Distracted Me From Sleeping

Good morning/evening myLotters. I am back online after reading for several hours. I was trying to get ready to doze off but the snore monster was having none of that! The snores just got louder and louder. I finally decided to get up and come see what was going on here at myLot and do a few more notifications. Before I made it out of the room I hear, "What are you doing?" I said that I was getting up because someone is snoring. He said, "I am not." Well then there is a monster hiding in the closet snoring!! I probably won't sign on later this morning, as my mom has an appointment with her primary doctor and we will be leaving the house around 9:30. This is earlier than my mother usually gets up so wish us luck. After lunch we are headed to get another CT scan. After I canceled the doctor's appointment that was to follow the CT scan and gave the reason why we were cancelling, I received a call from the lab about 45 minutes later. Someone woke up! Now I have to reschedule the doctor's appointment. I plan on telling the doctor about the screw up also. I hope everyone has a nice day and a pleasant evening. I'll hop online as soon as we get back in town and get started catching up. Photo: Pixabay, public domain

Yes, and said this morning that he didn't sleep good until I came back to bed. LOL I guess he had conscious sleep. But still more than I got.

@kareng My husband is very silent when he sleeps, but often he gets up to go to read for an hour and then he comes back and I hear him.

I remember those nights even though I have been divorced 30 years . There were nights I had to get up too. Back then there were no computers so I had to either read or watch tv.

@Tampa_girl7 We are good in our little community. The closest river is the Amite. Those down around the Pearl River in Louisiana are going to have to watch the Pearl.

@kareng that’s good to hear. How is your area doing ? The flooding is horrid in certain areas. We are blessed, but others near us are not.

My wife used to complain all the time that I snored, but whenever she said it I would be like, "I'm not even asleep." One time, I was lying in bed reading a book, and in the middle of a really good chapter she just hauled off and smacked me with her elbow and told me to quit snoring! I was like, "Are you f-ing kidding me? I'm wide awake reading a book!" Geez....I'm sorry that you confuse breathing with snoring! haha

OMG! I know I snore too, but not loud. When my hubby wakes me up I tell him I'm not snoring, just purring. ha!

@moffittjc That's sweet. You obviously don't snore very loud and don't vibrate the bed with it.

@kareng I've been blessed by the fact that my girlfriend actually doesn't mind my snoring. She says it comforts her and helps her sleep, because as long as she hears me she knows I'm right there by her side.

That wouldn't cover his snoring. It's very loud and you can hear it from other rooms in the house. Maybe earplugs but I need to be able to hear my mom calling for help. So right now, just trying to put up with it.

That can be so annoying to have a noise keep me awake. I put my echo to play ocean waves or thunderstorms and most of the time I can sleep.

You should try to sleep before the snore monster I am not sure but that might work. Hope things go well with the doctor appointment.

No way. He goes to bed at 8 to 9 pm and I don't go to sleep until after my mom goes to bed which is usually 9 to 10, sometimes earlier but not often.

@arunima25 That would probably drive me crazy wearing them. I'll take my chances. At least now he doesn't have to freak out about having to go to work the next morning and can chill a bit.

@kareng Then cotton ear plugs or muffs might be a solution. Snore monster can't be expected to stop snoring
