It is unfortunate when some person after having a large family over the years it dissolves, in this case I refer to a neighbor on the street, I remember that about 30 years ago his wife died suffering from the kidneys, his three Children and adults lived their lives apart ... Mr. left alone now has 92 years almost does not see ... yesterday he fell and had the neighbors go to see what happened because it always comes out every morning and had not seen what They found only on the floor all urination had fallen from very early and could not get up now has a hip fracture and is very old to operate it, the same Mr. asked to be left so, that God would take care of looking for him at any time, that I feel the heart of a very sad girl, her children do not see of him only a grandson who takes care of him from time to time and now in bed without taking care of him, no one is strong, hopefully one of his children or grandchildren condoms and help take care of him.

That is very sad. The children should have taken care of their old man.

I think so, it is unfortunate that your children give you excuses for not caring for them.

If very unfortunate, their children do not come for him, the neighbors help more than they do.

This sort of thing is sad to see. It's not just old people who become isolate, though. Sometimes, people ask to be left alone. There are some who are left through their own doing. Of course, that's not always the case and that's particularly sad. I've known (of) families who have been held together by one person and it all falls apart once that person passes on. In our family, my mother-in-law is very much that person and I am quite prepared to take on that mantle. I've done my best to keep other parts of family together - some attempts more successful than others. I would not like to think of anyone being lonely and having nobody to take care of them.

If I understand you, it is hard to imagine that the children themselves cannot see their father, it seems a burden to them, I hope they change their minds and want to take care of their old man, which is the only thing they have.

Sorry to hear the sad story of your neighbor. God knows how one will suffer in his lifetime.

@Aleskys It is a very sad story. I am glad that at least one in his family comes to take care of him. 30 years is a long time to be without his wife.
