Trees Make Great Fences

Noticed yesterday one of the new neighbors bought 15 cypress trees.
He is planting them right at my fence line.
Yes! I was so excited. Now I don't have to plant more trees.
I had planned on adding more trees in the yard. But now with these 6-8 foot trees he is planting, it will work out good for me.
This will be better than a fence. More privacy for both of us.

Our former home out in the country had cedar trees that outlined the back and side yards.
It was nice and private, but the type of trees that were planted there were the kind that attract the mosquitoes, so my husband and I had quite a job of cutting them down, removing the stumps and replanting with the proper variety. In the end it looked beautiful and I hope the same for you.

@CarolDM I don't remember what variety we had, they were planted before we bought the property. They were also the very best sound barrier you could ever ask for, both of our neighbours were very loud vocally, and we were thankful for the trees.

That's a good idea. In our native place, my grandparents house has fence of tall trees. It gave privacy and greenery.

I tried to get my sister to do that but she was to worried cops would tell us they are to high and make us cut them down. Can't go wrong if someone else does it though.

And those trees will also work as a wind barrier, when the weather gets chilly. That's why we are shielded from most of the harsh winds and turbulent storms, off Lake Huron. We are surrounded by tall trees, on every side:)

@CarolDM I really love trees, no matter what kind they are. The big one in our yard is a maple tree.

I just hope the roots won't grow that big, they may get inside the house.

You're blessed to hsve a neighbor like that. My neighbor has a huge mango tree. Unfortunately the rotten mangoes keep falling on our roof and backyard. LOL. And I have to sweep lots of leaves every time. But that's okay. Better to have a tree than none at all. How long before those cedar trees grow to 6 feet?

Trees certainly do! I have some along my property to not see my neighbor's ugly unkempt home and property.
