I have come to find my slip-on shoes to be VERY comfortable, and since I can flex less with arthritis in my back, easier to get on and off. I have a pair right now that I call my "house shoes," which is an old pair I now just use during the winter time to plod around the house. Then I have a pair I wear just out and about any time. Then I also have a 'dressier' pair.
I need to throw away the pair I am using for "house shoes" right now, and I will turn the pair I am using now as the "out and about anytime" pair into my "house shoes" for next winter.
And I need to get a new pair that will go with shorts in the summer.
It is not an issue during the summer to have a pair of "house shoes." In the summer I tend to be barefoot around the house all the time.
I will start the search. I have to get just the right pair that fit snugly so they don't slip. But man are they comfortable as hell.

I wear flip flops around the house 365 days a year. When I go out I have to have snug-fitting walking shoes with ties. Sometimes my husband has to help me get my socks and shoes on. I'm glad the slip-ons are working for you and are comfortable.

it is all about the right pair! I like to pick colors that clash with the shorts my wife bought, just to see her grimace when I come downstairs!

Vince likes the slip on, slip off type of shoe now. He has a shoe horn at home which helps with getting his shoes on and off more easily. He needs to wear his orthotics almost any time he's on his feet or they start to play up.
