"Weird Science" is a teen comic science fiction film which was released in 1985. It was written and directed by John Hughes. It's one of several of the movies that he's responsible for that came out in the 80s; such as, "The Breakfast Club" and "Sixteen Candles". The movie was met with mixed reviews. The budget for this film was $7.5 million; and the box office receipts were $38.9 million.
CAST
Anthony Michael Hall - Gary Wallace
Ilan Mitchell-Smith - Wyatt Donnelly
Kelly Le Brock - Lisa
Bill Paxton - Chet Donnelly
Robert Downey, Jr. - Ian
Robert Rusler - Max
Suzanne Snyder - Deb
Judie Aronson - Hilly
Gary and Wyatt are dateless on a Friday night and are hanging out at Wyatt's luxurious suburban home. Gary suggests that they make a woman using Wyatt's powerful computer. They connect the electrodes to a female doll; and they wear bras on their heads. They scan various images into the computer; such as, beautiful women, lips, etc.; but nothing happens at first. Then they hack into a powerful Air Force computer system; and an electrical storm develops. They unplug the computer; but things keep happening. A woman, who Wyatt will name "Lisa", comes out of the bathroom.
If you want to find out what happens next, you will have to watch the movie. This is a cute little movie with plenty of action to keep you interested. I think you will enjoy this film.
This movie is rated PG-13.
