Debra McKenna is very thankful that a class ring from Morse High School which is located in Maine that belonged to her late husband who at that time was her high school boyfriend has returned from all places Kaarina Finland where a gentleman named Marko Saarinen found the ring in a forest while he was using a metal detector to collect something of value.
Debra claims that she lost her boyfriend's high school ring inside of a department store in Portland Maine while she was washing her hands.
How did the ring go from Portland Mane to Kaarina Finland is not known.
The best part of this story is that Marko realized that he high school class ring belong to someone back in America when he saw the initials "S M" which stands for Shawn McKenna Morse High School class of 1973.
Marko used Facebook to locate the owner so he could return the ring to his owner.
The school officials contacted Debra to share the good news that her former husband who was also her boyfriend who passed away from cancer in 2017 after 40 years of marriage.
Debra believes that even though Shawn is no longer with her, his spirit was telling her from his grave that he still loves her. Such a sweet story of love.

It is a wonderful story even though it is bittersweet that Debra' husband passed away a few years ago. At least he is alive in spirit.

@Deepizzaguy We pay a lot of money for that ring and then over time, lose it.

Wow! You would think that it would be almost impossible to find the owner of that ring. Marko's persistence is to be applauded.

I agree with you. Marko did what is right by returning the school ring to the wife of the former owner.
