I didn't realize you were that close to a marina/canal! We have windows all around the house - so we see lots of things (in the way of a residential area). Most notable would be one of the bathroom windows - which has a tangelo tree outside and mourning doves are beginning to nest in it.

@GreatMartin Oh, are they loud? We have a flock of green parrots that fly around and sometimes lands in our front yard ash tree. But they are too high up to see from our windows. But we can hear them loud and clear when they fly overhead!!

@much2say Yes they are loud--sort of yelling "Look at me"
but I once had 21 birds in my apartment so the noise doesn't bother me!

We are on Karen Bay and almost a peninsula.
I have a tree right outside my living room window where every day around 5 PM a flock of beautiful red and green wild parrots come to spend 30-40 minutes! :O)

I love watching trees changing from season to season! Yes, I know South Florida isn't supposed to have seasons but we do!

Well, let's see. I see the squirrel running along the cable that winds up on my porch and munches on bread. at night I look out on my porch and the Harvey the possum and finally Tux the outside cat that laps up milk and hangs out. Birds come and go and sometimes sit on the wires and sing cheerfully and loudly. I give you Tux.

As I said to Shays "We are situated 5 blocks from one of the busiest Boulevards in Fort Lauderdale leading to the beach and yet you would never know it as we sound like we are living in the country!"
