Whodyathunkit?
If you pre-order a book with amazon and the price drops after it's release, you will get a refund of the difference back to your payment card. It's something I wasn't aware of until a few days ago when I placed the Pre-Order for the Simone St James book that I bought.
I got an email from Amazon saying that I was getting a whopping 39 cents back as the price dropped from $16.79 to $16.42.
I'll take it.
The book that I bought is The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James. A book written in a different time period than she usually writes in.
This is the only refund that I'll get this year....
The secrets lurking in a rundown roadside motel ensnare a young woman, just as they did her aunt thirty-five years before, in this new at...

Yep. I mean it's only 40 cents, but I'm glad that they refunded me instead of just keeping it for themselves.

@Tina30219 Yep. They sent it back to my debit card though so it'll go towards something else, likely a bill.

I did not know that. I am not really a fan of buying books on Amazon though..unless i get hooked on one. Something I really want to read, I will get at the library after it has been out awhile.

I don't get many books from amazon anymore, not unless they are kindle unlimited. After I ordered it on amazon I thought 'Maybe I should have just gone directly from her site" but oh well...

I never knew they did that. I don't usually buy books when they first come out.

I don't shop as much as I once did, and I hardly ever buy a paperback book from them, especially not one on pre-order...
I still wonder if I would have gotten it cheaper directly from the author.

@Marilynda1225 Yeah, there is. I've done some shopping for books from ebay before. There's a store that does buy 1 get 1 on ebay.

Well... Let's agree to disagree. Sometimes their customer service goes above and beyond, but not always.
