What happened before I left for church...

It was actually when I went out the front door to take Angel for a walk before leaving for church.
I went out the door, looked down, and saw an Amazon box on the porch. I stuck it inside, pretty sure what it was, and went on a walk with Angel.
When I got home, it was time to leave, so I gathered my things and went to church.
When I got home today, I picked up the box and went to the kitchen to open it. Sure enough, it was my new camera. 
I may still take the odd photo with my phone, but for me using a digital camera is so much easier ! I look forward to starting to use it. It's the same brand as the one I still can't find, but is a little more advanced, so I need to check out the book that comes with it to see if there's anything different I need to do.

My husband recently bought a SLR camera but it is rarely used because these days mobiles are more than sufficient

I don't like the quality of the photos on my phone, plus they do not have the capabilities that I camera does.

@xstitcher this is good. Even my phone does not have a good camera
