Off They Go.

Well, my husband got to go to his annual hockey game. Each year he picks a day and he and the kids head to st.louis to watch live and in-person games. I used to go with but age has taught me that the house is empty. I chose to keep my living room company instead of all the fun of loading up in a car for three hours then watching a bunch of grown men take sticks and fight over a puck. They went up at around one o'clock grabbed our daughter from school and took in some sights before the game. St. Louis has a lot of stuff to do. But keeping with the theme and because all my kids are now adults. They choose to go to the Anheuser Busch Brewery. They didn't have time for the whole tour but they got some good pictures to bring me. My daughter had been wanting to go to the museum of history since we dropped her off for college and hasn't made it there yet so he took one for the team and all three boys escorted her through the museum. When they got done she was sure to inform me that I would just have to come up next and take her so the visit will be taken more seriously. (Gee thanks for that babe) Ever since I decided not to venture the trip. I turn the game on television and try to see them in their seats. But try as I might I was unable to peck them out again this year. This year our oldest son got his taxes in time to upgrade everyone's seats. They were so close they could talk to the team. They didn't but they could have. Good lord if one of the players turned around and said "Hey, Rick" to my husband he'd probably pass out on the spot. Then about ten o'clock, My daughter messaged me to let me know they just dropped her at her dorm and were on the way home. By the time they made it to the door, they were all drunk from exustion. It took a whole five minutes of getting the Jerseys off, stumble to bed, and I had the house to myself again. Then with them all safe in bed I could truly enjoy, a quiet house knowing they are safe. #goblues
