So my daughter had her first office Girl Scout Cookie booth day, today. She didn’t get to do last year but she has expressed right after we where done that she wanted to do it again. She sold a few cookie boxes to some people that stopped by there table. My dad came out and donated $10 to the girls and our donation are going to be sent out to the free clinic to the families that are in need. I went back online and signed her up for another day that my mom can take my boy’s while I take her to do the cookie booths.

good luck, last year, I wanted to buy cookies, and the mother was unloading the car in front of the store, and wouldn't sell to me when I was leaving the store. Not set up yet, I could see the boxes of cookies I wanted I was buying for family, so they lost a sale. This year, I found them set up, but when you walk up to the table, no one said anything, I had to do the talking, how much? what kind do you have this year. Thin mints, what I wanted, they did not have with them, how odd.

The parents are suppose to get the girls to talk. Albright for children when they are scared or nervous they might not say anything. We feed the girls some lines or try out. Told them to smile at least say hi. It takes time and practice. The older girls would probably be better at it. My daughter is 9 so I don’t see here going hey, would you like some thin mints they are $5 a box.

@ShyBear88 she might, 9 is a good age. If no one speaks, most will not stop to buy the cookies , I have seen several young girls selling together, and they are all talking. I wish them all the best of luck, with the cookie sales.

@CookieMonster46 you also have to remember different personality some kids are more out going then others. It’s use to the girls to sell them. Some times you can look at a person and just know they don’t wan to hear what your trying to sell even to some kids

That's fun to do. I'm sure she's proud of herself when doing it. I wish our little Miss can do it too here.

I know you're proud of your daughter! I bought a box of the gluten free chocolate chip Girl Scout cookies, but they were terrible.

@ShyBear88 Is that something new that they sell them in a booth? When I sold girl scout cookies I went door to door. Do they still do that too?

Booths since I was little depended on the troop leader. Yes girls do sell door to door, they also sell online, and from booths it spends on what the girls can do and what the troop leader is wanting to do. We have a cookie mom that sets up the booths and the girls and there parents pick form a set of days set up by the cookie mom to choice from.
