There are no words that can express the sorrow I felt when I learned that best selling author Clive Cussler has passed away.
I found out today over a facebook post that the writer had passed on Monday, reasons have not been told to the public as of yet.
Cussler began writing in 1965 and came up with the amazing character of Dirk Pitt and his series in the 70's. The Dirk Pitt series spanned 25 books including the hit Sahara! which became a movie starring Mathew McConaughey.
Cussler was also founder of the actual NUMA (National Underwater and Marine Agency.)
He was 88 years old.
Today the world lost an amazing man and author.

Oh wow. I have been reading his books since I was a kid. I think his son will carry on writing the books.
