According to sources at Good Morning Football and Total Access, the Carolina Panthers are going to keep Cam Newton as starting quarterback this year.
Apparently the use of the word "intend" means that it's possible when the season actually starts, things could change.
There is still a small possibility that the Panthers could start Keenan Allen. I'm probably miss-spelling his name.
I don't think Newton has it in him anymore but if he feels like he does, he should be given the chance to prove it.
Maybe the Panthers will start him a couple games in the pre-season to see where he's at then make a final decision.
Maybe they'll even take a page out of the Miami Dolphin's playbook and switch up quarterbacks constantly throughout the year. That gave me a headache trying to figure out who was in the game at which time.
Carolina fans!!! What's your opinion?

I think they're worried that they won't get a decent trade out of him due to injuries, which is possible. He was out a lot last year due to injuries, that's why Allen became starter last year

@Bensen32 I think it's still up in the air. I think that the coach chose his words carefully so it's not a true commitment.
