Going Krogering Soon

Funny memory. My sister always shopped at Kroger for groceries. When I would visit she would say, come on, we are going Krogering.
I will always remember that when I visit Kroger. She used two baskets since she only shopped once a month. I pushed one and she had the other full. We would stop at Sonic for a slushie after we were done.
I miss my sister every day. Thank goodness for all the memories.
A short list since I just went to Publix. Should not be gone long. Want to soak up the vitamin D from the sunshine as much as possible.

We have not had a kroger here in many many years.
One memory surrounding kroger was when I was maybe 8 years old, possibly younger. My grandparents would shop at kroger regularly (this was before walmart was nearby - It was either Food Lion or Kroger). My grandmother was going to make something that required rice so she sent my grandfather and I to the store. He wanted to grab a different type of rice, but I told him that he HAD to get the minute rice because that was the band my grandmother used.
I probably stopped an argument from happening because granny sure was brand loyal.

@CarolDM I haven't heard a lot about them. I know there are still some in Virginia and I think we passed one on the way to the beach last year.

Yes. I miss my sister too as we live far away to each other but we meet up last Christmas and enjoy the holiday season at our mothers place

My hometown is 25 minutes away from Krogers. When I'd go home to visit, we also said we were going Krogering. "Let's go Krogering, for the best of everything, including the price" Remember the commercials?
