I mentioned in a previous post that we've hatched two chicks, and that I was a little worried that cats might attack and eat them. Well, it's happened!! :o/ I didn't expect it to come too soon. I mean, we were just about to have a coop made for our hen and her chicks.
How dreadful. We were doubtful at first but we knew that it was really impossible for the chicks to leave their mama hen. They were always just moving about in the backyard and those tiny chicks would sleep in the hen's wings. Unless, of course, some wandering animal grabs them in our backyard. We've seen the two cats licking their mouths and paws. And how curious that every time our hen sees them, her feathers get ruffled and she attempts to peck on those two cats. You can tell that she's really angry at them.

Thank you. We will have to ask our carpenter to make a cage.

@almostoveryou You need a cake to protect them, they cannot fly away and cats are predators.

@almostoveryou maybe when she’s caged she’ll have new set of chicks.

We were just about to ask our handyman to make a coop. Too late.

That's sad. I wouldn't want that to happen.
