Day 206 Promise 276 Proverbs 2:10 When wisdom enters into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: 12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man who speaks perverse things; 13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of the wicked; 15 Whose ways are crooked, and they turn aside in their paths: 16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flatters with her words; 17 Which forsakes the guide of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God. 18 For her house inclines unto death, and her paths unto the dead. 19 None who go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. 20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. 21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. 22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. From the time you’re born your parents taught you right from wrong and tried to teach you not to run with the wrong crowd. Solomon gave the same advice to his son and told him what would happen to everyone who followed those bent on evil. They forgot the covenant God gave Moses and walked in darkness. As Christians, you too walked in darkness before you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. You allowed Satan to lead you down those paths of destruction until you broke those chains and turned to God and Jesus your Savior. Turning from wickedness to righteousness. Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. In the midst of your sin, you heard the salvation message and turned from darkness to light. Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. The world is full of temptation because Satan is the prince of the power of the air and works in all those who walk in darkness. You must recognize his work and turn to God who leads you in paths of righteousness. When you do, God will transform your life from death to life and give you His salvation through His Son, Jesus. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for transforming my life. Help me recognize Satan’s temptations and keep me from all evil as I walk with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. The enemy knows how to attack our strengths and weaknesses. Let's be wise as the serpent! Be rooted in His word so that we can recognize God's voice and not be deceived.
