Tonight we got the kids some melatonin to take to help them sleep. Of course don’t worry they won’t get these two off because form what I’ve read to often can mess with your own natural level. I take some very now and then when I really have a hard time going to sleep. All three took 1 gummy and went to sleep slowly. The oldest crashed first since she isn’t a 100% but the boys where not to far behind. I hope they all have a good sleep.

Some times it takes forever to get them to sleep especially the 5 year old. The older two when they have school they tend to go to bed easy but they do have there nights where they just can’t.

They say the 3 year old still even gets up about 3:00 am and goes downstairs.

@dfollin okay, the 3 year old is probably at the age where naps need to be cut out or she is going through the normal stages of neigh terrors it tends to wake kids up and happens between the ages of 2-4

Hope they sleep well. I am not sure if it's prescribed for them. Hope it doesn't have a side effect

It’s over the counter anyone can get them but it’s not to be given every night. No side affect our bodies naturally make melatonin when we sleep that’s what happens when our body hits deep sleep which makes fall into our dream state and start our rem cycle if we don’t hit the rem cycle we don’t sleep well and wi be tired all day.

@arunima25 it’s a supplement it’s not medication. It’s something your body already does on their own. Some people. Some people don’t make bright. If you take a sleep aid this is actually what is in it. I also know even thought our bodies make it regular we should take them took off this type of supplement or less your body stops making it. Which is why I wouldn’t give them more then 1 these every so often. We have 1 sick child so we felt tonight this would help since someone them had taking meds if it is need. Sleep helps heal the body so this would help that and give them at least 6 hours of sleep without heavy does of medicine. No dyes, no gluten in them just a little citrus

@ShyBear88 Oh! Good to know that. I am a bit concerned about side effects of medicine especially to young children.

My D-I-L gives them to the kids. But they tell me that the 3 year old wakes up in the middle of the night to go downstairs to talk to and watch TV with her dad. The night that I stayed there she woke up two times and came in to the room that I was in and wanted to talk. So what good was it? They spent the night with me 2 nights in a row and the first night she had Melatonin but the second night she didn't. Both nights she slept straight thru and never got up. Huh?

@ShyBear88 I don't know if they checked the bottle! I have them during the day M-F and she takes long naps, hard for me to get her up.

@dfollin that’s would be important and at a certain age a child stops taking naps or parents are encouraged to limiters or stop naps so the child sleeps 8-9 hours a night.

Did they check the age on the bottle. Ours says not for children under the age of 4. The body metabolism things different and at that age her filter system would be in over drive so it would make would be normal to wake. All how active in the day that child is and what time they woke up and did they get a nap. My 5 is he naps he won’t sleep

This is my first time to hear that it could have such a pill. I only thought that kids can sleep well after drinking hot milk. Does it need to be prescribed by a doctor? Thank you for sharing this information.

It’s not a pill we have gummies although they do make pull form for adults. No script it’s over the counter because it’s a supplement and vitamins. It’s something your body already makes once in a deep sleep but some people do have a harder time making go quickly so it takes them longer to fall into a deep sleep and stay in it for longer periods of time like you should. You can’t take it nightly because if you, your killing off your bodies natural way of doing so. So it’s advise if your going to take it to spread them out and not take them more then 14 nights in a row. Milk has nothing in it to put or make you go to sleep.

@Shavkat the gummies are for kids since most kids can’t swallow pills not adults

@ShyBear88 I got it. I guess the gummy form is not available here. I'll try to check in the public market who sells imported goods. Regardless, thank you for sharing this.
